OneSource EHS, LLC recently supported one of North America's largest energy infrastructure and pipeline companies with a comprehensive exposure monitoring and compliance initiative for the new EPA TSCA requirements related to trichloroethylene (TCE). The project began with the development of a monitoring strategy adherent to the TSCA standard, including defining which job functions and tasks required evaluation, where sampling should be conducted, and the specific analytical methods and performance criteria needed to meet regulatory expectations.
Following the completion of the field sampling, OneSource prepared a detailed technical report analyzing the results against the new EPA Existing Chemical Exposure Limit (ECEL) and other regulatory thresholds. Based on these findings, OneSource developed a comprehensive Workplace Chemical Protection Program (WCPP) tailored to the client’s TCE operations, establishing a clear framework for ongoing exposure control, compliance, and risk management.
